Avocado Fries: Baked and Crispy, Vegan, Gluten-Free!
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
This recipe is easy, fast, and delicious!
Fruits are generally healthy, but it isn’t a secret that most of them have high sugar levels. Although, some fruits have lower sugar levels and naturally healthy fats, especially avocados! Also, I love how they can be used in salty or sweet dishes. But be careful not too eat too much of it, because avocados are known to be high in cholesterol. However, they are high in vitamin E, therefore great for skin health, as well as heart and circulation health.
Also, these don’t have to be gluten-free; just replace the gluten-free flour by wheat flour, and the gluten-free breadcrumbs by regular ones :)
Please do try this at home :D
-3 ripe avocados
-1/4 cup all purpose gluten-free flour
-1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1/2 almond milk
-1 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs (I like the brand Maison Cannelle)
-Preheat the oven to 420 F / 215 C
-Cut and peel the avocados
-Add the garlic, flour, and salt to a bowl. Add the almond milk to another bowl. Add the breadcrumbs to another bowl.
-Coat each slice of avocado in the flour mix, then dip in the milk, then coat with breadcrumbs, then place on baking pan with parchment paper
-Repeat this for each slice
-Leave in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Take it out and serve immediately!
